Progress being made towards the creation of a national competence centre for fistula surgery
In 2007 women's hope international launched Afghanistan’s first ever fistula programme at the CURE International Hospital in the capital Kabul. Our goal is to establish a national competence centre where even complex fistula surgery can be performed by trained Afghan surgeons. Fistula prevention is also a major priority.
