Help make pregnancy and birth safe for everyone.

Women's Hope International works to ensure that girls and women everywhere can live self-determined and healthy lives. Together with our partner organisations, we are committed to improving health services around pregnancy and birth in Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Bangladesh and Chad. We empower women to claim their sexual and reproductive rights and to resist gender-based violence.

How we work

Together with the Alliance "Gender Equality & Health" and our local partner organizations, we are taking a multifaceted approach to address the challenges at their roots wherever possible.

Afghanistan

Humanitarian catastrophe at the Afghan-pakistani border

The emergency aid provided by our partner PUI (Première Urgence Internationale) for the displaced Afghan people is in full swing. We are joining this emergency assistance effort and specifically supporting measures aimed at sexual and reproductive health.

Afghanistan

UNBROKEN RESILIENCE OF WOMEN IN AFGHANISTAN

Taliban rule is having an impact on the programme work of Women's Hope and its partner organisations in Afghanistan. The challenges are great - but the small-scale successes for the women in the country are all the more important.

Women and climate change

climate change predominantly affects girls and women

Climate change is not gender-neutral. It affects girls and women in particular. That is why gender justice and climate policy must be tackled together.
