The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is the agency for international cooperation within the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA). Women's Hope International, together with IAMANEH and Médecins du Monde, has been receiving program contributions from SDC since 2021 as part of the "Gender Equality & Health" alliance.

The SDC supports the alliance in the form of program contributions: SDC funding may not exceed 40% of program costs. Women's Hope must therefore fundraise more than twice as much (60%) in donations and contributions from foundations and other funding partners in order to be able to implement its program. Thus, for every franc raised, SDC finances an amount of about 35 centimes. This multiplier effect is desired and should encourage further patrons to get involved.

The SDC is responsible for the overall coordination with other federal authorities of development cooperation and cooperation with Eastern Europe as well as for humanitarian aid delivered by the Swiss Confederation. Its activities are geared to reducing poverty and hardship and mitigating global risks. The development it strives for should preserve natural resources for future generations. The SDC focuses on fragile and conflict-affected regions, where almost two-thirds of the world's poor will live by 2030.
